Dr. Sulica was one of 3 panelists in an impromptu webinar was presented Monday March 23, 2019 because of changes in clinical practice imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The wideranging discussion covered the rapid shift in priorities as the scarcity of protective equipment becomes critical, unchecked community transmission raises the risk of essential laryngology procedures, and medical attention is increasingly consumed by the pandemic. The panel also anticipated challenges in carrying out work in the hospital both for infected and noninfected patients.
