The 2022 Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meetings, held in Dallas April 28-30, saw Sean Parker Institute Director Dr. Lucian Sulica named President of the American Laryngological Association, the national organization for physicians devoted to the care of patients with disorders of voice, swallowing and airway. He previously served as the ALA’s Secretary from 2017-2021. As President, he will guide the ALA’s scholarly activities and meetings over the next year.
Parker Institute dysphagia specialist Dr. Anaïs Rameau was named fellow of the Triological Society, the most prestigious society in otolaryngology. Fellowship requires preparation of a thesis, completed by only a small fraction of ear, nose & throat specialists nationwide; Dr. Rameau’s thesis concerned the effect of vocal fold injection on cough.
