This report revolves around a survey of laryngologists, concerning the diagnosis of vocal fold paresis. Paresis is usually diagnosed on the basis of vocal fold motion abnormalities noticed with laryngoscopy and stroboscopy. No single finding is considered very highly diagnostic. Electromyography is rarely used.
